Wild Horses of Nevada

Let the good ones work with cowboys
With their saddles cinched down tight.
Let the wild ones roam Nevada
In the night.

When the cowboy takes his saddle off
And hangs it up to dry
Let the wild horse of Nevada
Run and fly.

Like the colors of the rainbow
And the sun rays on the sand
This wild cavieta
Rules the land.

The old ones know their way home
Where feed and water lie
The young ones are like dust storms
Across the sky.

You can run them into catch pens
Or let nature take her course
Let Nevada be a Heaven
For the horse.
